Oh, Tangled Web!

Reminiscent of the open fields of flowers from my childhood in California, this piece speaks to how we complicate things. When we look beyond the "tangled webs" of life there is only simple, easy beauty.
 
Thick layers of paint create a textured backdrop for thick-petaled flowers. The incorporation of iridescent medium adds a reflective quality.
